Visual Artist, Art Tutor & Creative Director

Tomáš Lukáč was born in Slovakia where he completed his education. He graduated with a Master of Fine Arts - Painting & Free Visual Academy of Art Banská Bystrica. Tomáš began his professional career as a visual artist during his final years of university. In 2006, Tomáš moved to the United Kingdom where he lived for 3 years before permanently moving and settling with his family in New Zealand in 2009.

Drawing and Painting have become the foundation of Tomáš's artistic expression. His artwork ranges from drawing (pencil, charcoal, dry pastel and oil pastel) to painting (watercolor, acrylics and oils). However, Tomáš's work also included other media such as photography, combined techniques (collage) and installation art. Printmaking and Graphic Design also become part of his professional training.

Although the recurring subject matter of Tomáš's work is the human body, his work portrays a range of objects, as the existential symbols of everyday life.

Experienced in various genres (such as portrait, nude, still life, landscape, abstract work), combined with strong practical skills and European style of teaching (where emphasis is put on building a strong foundation before moving into more complex subject matter), Tomáš's tutoring ability is second to none.
